The sun was beating down on her back heating her hair that was above water level. Honestly she was just bored and avoiding her history paper which she was uninspired for. Who really cared about George Washington after the twenty-ga-zillionth year that you had to sit through the founding fathers speech. She could care less that Lincoln had never told a lie, which she thought was a lie itself because you don't get to be a politician without being a liar.
She turned over and laid her head on her arms and glanced over at the pool, there was a shark student that was playing marko polo with another student who she thought was a bat but she could have been mistaken... or not...

Mara was sitting down in her favorite chair. No, it wasn't just her favorite chair, it was her chair. On summer days like this, she practically lived there. Unless someone else was sitting there first, then she just got mad.
Mara squinted at the sun, having forgotten her sunglasses back at the dorm. The sun had drifted since she last moved the pool umbrella; it was now peeking out from behind the shady flap. She groaned and sat up, contemplating whether to get up and adjust it again, or to just deal with it.
You win this round, sun... Mara though to herself with a sigh, laying back down in the chair and tilting her head to the side.

Michelle glanced over at her stepsister and best friend, who was arguing with the sun it looked like it anyway, but knowing her friend that was what she was doing. "Mara you might as well come over here the chair will be there when you get back you know the freshmen all know it's your chair by now." she said wishing she could throw an empty water bottle at Mara just to see the look on her face when it bounced off.
She adjusted her floral bikini she looked around at the other students who wished that they could go home over the summer, but sadly RAGE was a year long school as most of the younger students needed the time to learn how to control their shifts. Michelle had loved laughing at some of the younger students as they learned how to shift and got stuck in obscene positions with tails sticking out sideways paws with fingernails and other weird positions. Now that was entertainment. [/blockquote]

Mara hadn't even noticed that Michelle was there. Had she been there the whole time? Mara wasn't sure if she wanted to go swimming. She had her blue bikini on underneath her shorts and tank top, but didn't want to get a sunburn. However, if she didn't adjust the umbrella she was bound to get a sunburn anyways...
"You can waste your energy talking," she yawned, "Or you can come adjust my umbrella."
Mara rolled over again and smiled to herself. She knew that Michelle wouldn't give up that easily; she was just picking a fight for the fun of it.

Michelle rolled her eyes, yes Mara was picking a fight, yes she wasn't going to back down and yes, she really was about to jump out of the hot tub and drag her into it in white tiger form.
She quickly debated with herself weather or not to give her a warning but decided against it as she went sailing through the air transforming as she lept at her friend. She would expect the same thing from Mara so it was perfectly normal to do this. Seeing as how most of her spare time was spent doing Mara's homework she didn't see a problem in it either.

Mara shouted as her friend leapt at her, transforming as she did. She reacted quickly, rolling out of the way and accidentally off of the chair with a surprised exclamation. She lay there for a humiliating moment, flat on her back as she glared at her friend who now lay above her. Mara stood up and dusted herself off, placing her hands on her hips.
"No claws! That is so unfair," Mara complained, grinning. "You made me squash my towel, you jerk."
She jokingly opened the towel and placed it over Michelle's head and eyes very matter-of-factly. She crossed her arms and took in her masterpiece. It was a wonderful improvement.

Michelle raised an eyebrow and flicked an ear effectivly knocking the towel off of her face and purred as she jumped around her friend and pushed her toward the hot tub, she was going to push her in weather Mara liked it or not and if she wanted to go in with her tank and shorts on that was fine with her, it was Mara's turn to do laundry anyway. Mara stumbled, reeling backwards and cartwheeling her arms so as not to fall backwards into the hot water. She stood back up straight and stared into the frothy surface of the hot tub. There was nobody in it, because it was twelve in the afternoon and the sun was high in the sky.
"It's too hot today, let's go to the actual pool," Mara complained. "At least let me take my clothes off before I go in, or I'm making you wash these for me."
She took off her tank top and shorts and threw them on the ground next to her mangled heap of a towel. They landed in the shadow of the umbrella, luckily, so they would be nice and cool for her when she got out of the pool, or hot tub, or wherever she ended up choosing to get wet.

Michelle smirked and pushed Mara in the water before she had time to really think about what was going on. This was usual for the two friends as they were used to sparring either each other or on a team or even with tennis rackets and creaming the other team.
She jumped into the water quickly after hoping to hear a second splash which would mean that Mara had fallen in after her. Well the splash wouldn't be the only indicator she had as she would probably be splashed in the face right after but she accepted that as karmic punishment.

Mara knew what Michelle was waiting for as she started to fall into the water. She caught herself in an intense, tricky, over-dramatic way, unwilling to submit. However, her attempt was futile, and she landed in the water right next to Michelle. Her head was right next to her sister's, and she took the opportunity that she had been given to shoot her a quick glare.
"I vote pool," she muttered, still arguing after she had lost. "It's too hot."

Michelle rolled her eyes and looked over at the game of water polo that was going on at the moment with mister batty and his friend who she recognized as a monkey transformation, "You wanna share the pool with those guys?" she asked her thumb over her shoulder her eyebrow raised slightly.
This was one of the best parts about having your sister as your best friend, you could argue without really thinking much of it, and squabble they did. There was rarely a day they didn't start at least one pillow fight with one friend or another, but that was just who they were and now it looked like it would be a splash fest.

Mara looked over at the students playing water polo in the larger pool and blinked. They were taking up most of the pool, the other swimmers pushed to the sides and constantly trying to dodge the barrage of killer sports equipment.
"Now that you mention it," Mara considered, watching a freshman get pegged with a ball, "I'm not sure. Not that that doesn't look like fun or anything... I already have bruises from when you dragged me in here."
She promptly splashed Michelle in the face.

Michelle squealed in a manner that she would refuse she could even make and splashed her back when she opened her eyes to check her aim, "It's your own fault for not just coming in in the first place." she said and glanced over to the pool.
It was really getting to be an intense game of Marco Polo, the bat was really cheating again and no one noticed the ears. Idiots.
She was sure one other person in the pool was a shark and was also cheating. It was rather funny if you actually just sat and watched everyone get pummeled.

((Oh... MARCO polo! Oops I said water polo My bad)) Mara ducked and swam behind Michelle, delivering a decisive splash up her back that flipped her wet hair over her head.
"It was such a lovely, peaceful day until you decided to come along," Mara joked, laughing at how ridiculous she looked with her long hair dripping over her face. "You deserve that."

Michelle blinked in surprise as her hair slapped her in the face. She hadn't seen that one coming and she hadn't expected it to sting as much as it did either.
She quickly recovered blinking and swinging her hair around to hit Mara in the face trying not to think about how much she must look like a skunk. "Well at least it wasn't boring like I'm sure you would have been." she said with a smirk. [/blockquote]

Mara ducked quickly, pushing her annoying bangs out of her face.
"Hey, at least I'm not trying to hit anyone!" Mara teased. "I'm playing nice, splashing doesn't hurt anyone, does it? Besides, boring and relaxing are two completely different things."
Mara stood up and smoothed out her hair, adjusting her bikini strap which was far too tight and starting to get uncomfortable. She threw her hands up in surprise as a shark student came flailing at her in pursuit of his friend, who was standing right behind them.
"WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" She yelled after them, clenching her fists.

Michelle snorted in a not very feline manner and pushed herself out of the way of the incoming shark, they looked older then the two step-sisters and looked like they were deeply devoted to their game. Although not quite as bad as some people she knew.
"Hey at least you didn't get mauled over." she said in an aerobatic voice. She loved sarcasm. Nothing was more effective in getting her point across.

((Wait, aren't they in the hot tub? Why are there Marco Polo players in there? Oops))
Mara yawned and waved her hand with nonchalance. She started to walk - or wade - away, out of reach of the vigorous Marco Polo players.
"Whatever, this is getting irritating," Mara muttered. "Why are we in here again? I'd much rather go back and tan..."
Mara started to climb out of the water to recover her clothes. It was far to hot to be in a hot tub, what was Michelle thinking anyways?
