Name: Devon Pike
Face Claim: When I find one
Age: 16
Appearance:
Devon's hair is slightly longer than average, partly because he doesn't care to trim it. His skin is tan, because he spends most of the day sleeping in the sun or sitting out in the courtyard with a book. He is tall and thin, but not shrimpy. He isn't muscular, however, because he would much rather lift up a book than weights at the gym.
Clothing Style:
Devon wears short-sleeved T-shirts all year round, no matter what the weather is. They are usually one plain color with no design or logo, although he is quite fond of stripes. He doesn't like to wear hats or sunglasses, he would much rather just squint, and as for accessories he wears an elastic band on his right wrist for no particular reason. He is a fan of shorts and capris, but wears jeans often as well. His shoes are usually ratty sneakers with half-tied laces, although he occasionally experiments with sandals.
Type of Animal:
Marsh Hawk
Animal Face Claim:
Dorm:
Hawk
Personality:
Devon can be considered to be lazy, but really he's just unmotivated. He isn't a planner, or a doer, as some people call them, he just likes to relax and enjoy the moment (which he sees nothing wrong with). He is content to be average, although he is very attractive. He doesn't really care about relationships or about how other people see him at all. He is a relatively good arguer, and a calm person in general, but can get pretty worked up sometimes if people start to make him angry. He gets good grades but doesn't make anything of it, just as long as he gets by.
History:
Devon's history is boring. He grew up in a small town in Oregon, flying kites and laying by the beach. He can cook, although he doesn't like to admit it (it's too girly...) but doesn't enjoy art very much. His childhood was pretty average. He got exceptional grades, never dated or hung out much. He mostly stayed at home or on the beach, reading and flying kites. His parents decided to sent him to RAGE mostly just to get him to meet some people or do something for a change.
Family:
Devon has no siblings, but both of his parents attended the school as well. He has a fairly good relationship with both of them, although he feels like he mom doesn't understand him well because she won't just let him do what he wants to do.
Home Town:
Cannon Beach, Oregon
Hobbies:
Reading, cooking (sometimes), kite flying, sleeping, thinking
Likes:
Thinking, mellow people, good books, thought-provoking conversation, the beach, well-made kites, good food
Dislikes:
Pointless comments, stupid questions, long speeches, overactive people, sports, alarm clocks
Compatibility:
Devon likes low key, low maintenance, go-with-the-flow type of people who are content to just sit and enjoy the day.
Devon dislikes people who always have to be somewhere or always have to get the last word in. He doesn't like people who argue a lot for no reason, or who never pay attention to what is going on around them.
Sample Roleplay:
Devon yawned and rolled over.
Great. The light is still on, he thought. Why did I leave the light on? I want to go to bed. But I can't sleep with the light on. Still, I'm incredibly tired, and I don't want to get up, but I could never sleep well when there's a light on. So, if I leave the light on, I won't get to sleep. However, I don't want to get up to turn it off, because I'm too tired to move. Besides, if I'm this tired, I might just be able to fall asleep with the light on, so then getting up would be a wasted effort. So really...
Devon sat up, staring at the wall with eyes half closed. He picked up a shoe, and tossed it at the light switch. The heel caught on the switch, and the lights turned off.
Much better, he thought.
